With this social event, you will have the opportunity to explore the main sights on both parts of the river in Budapest. Walk around the Castle District<\/strong>, enjoy the view from the Citadell, drive along the Andr\u00e1ssy Avenue until Heroes\u2019 Square<\/strong> passing by many sights in the city.<\/p>\n

The tour will depart from your Hotel, take the Elisabeth Bridge to drive over to the Buda side. First we will drive to the Gell\u00e9rt Hill (Citadell)<\/strong> and show you the most spectacular view of Budapest. Next we stop in the Castle District<\/strong> and during a short walk we will show you the main attractions of the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After visiting the Buda side, we will go over the Elisabeth Bridge<\/strong> to reach the Pest side. We will see the commanding building of the Hungarian Parliament <\/strong>on Kossuth Square. The Hungarian Parliament is the world’s third largest Parliament building. It is a magnificent example of Neo-Gothic architecture (although displaying Renaissance and Baroque characters too), is just over 100 years old. It houses one of Hungary\u2019s greatest treasure: the Holy Crown of St Stephen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will have the opportunity to visit the Liberty Square. Today a visit to Liberty Square<\/strong> is one of the most interesting things to do in Budapest. Picturesque statues to freedom and liberty are nestled amongst shady walkways and grassy lawns throughout the square. Another square that is a must to visit is the Heroes\u2019 Square<\/strong>, where you will see the statues of the most famous Hungarian kings and dukes, and the Museum of Fine Arts and the Art Gallery.<\/p>\n

We then take the Andr\u00e1ssy Avenue to downtown Pest, pass by St Stephen\u2019s Basilica.
\nSt. Stephen\u2019s Basilica<\/strong>, the largest church in Budapest, is dedicated to Hungary\u2019s first king, St. Stephen. It houses Hungary\u2019s most sacred treasure, St. Stephen\u2019s mummified right hand, the Szent Jobb (Holy Right Hand).<\/p>\n
